Buying a CUPRA Born

The buying process for CUPRA Born has changed

As consumer buying behaviour changes, CUPRA UK are making some changes to the way our first 100% electric vehicle is sold.

Customers will buy direct from CUPRA UK (via our Retailers, who act as our Agents), giving them confidence that the price they see on the website is the same as the price they will be charged in their chosen Retailer, wherever they are in the UK. We may of course continue to run promotions or provide discounts, for example to volume or key purchasers such as the NHS and other similar customers.

The Retailer will still be there to help customers with specialist product knowledge and advice ensuring they buy the right car for them and their lifestyle. And of course, the Retailer will be on hand to deliver the same expert servicing and maintenance they do today.

If you have any questions on buying a CUPRA Born, you can look at our frequently asked questions below or contact your local Retailer for further assistance.

Yes of course. Your local CUPRA Retailer will remain the face of the CUPRA brand in your area and the relationship shouldn’t change.  Your Retailer will still be there to help customers with specialist product knowledge and advice ensuring you buy the right car for you and your lifestyle.  And of course, your Retailer will be on hand to deliver the same expert servicing and maintenance they do today.

Yes. CUPRA UK will support Retailers in offering a suitable line‐up of demonstrator vehicles across the range at all times. Your ability to test drive is not affected by the move to an agency model. To request a test drive click here.

Yes you can, however there are some changes to the process. CUPRA UK will not purchase your part exchange car, your Retailer will discuss this with you as the valuation you are provided will be an arrangement between yourself and Retailer, and not involve CUPRA UK. The proceeds can still be put against the value of your new CUPRA in full or in part (as agreed with you) and the Retailer will pass your agreed funds directly to CUPRA UK on your behalf.

CUPRA UK will facilitate a delivery to the Retailer premises for handover to the customer.  Any requirements for home delivery should be discussed directly with your chosen Retailer.  If possible, your chosen Retailer may deem this as an additional service

No, there are no physical changes to the way we build & deliver our cars into our Network.

You can service your CUPRA Born at most CUPRA Retailers. The availability of services may change from time to time so we advise that you identify your local retailer and services provided here.

The benefit of an agency model means the price is consistent across all CUPRA retailers.  CUPRA UK will invoice all customers at a consistent national price regardless of geographical location. We may of course continue to run promotions or provide discounts, for example to volume or key purchasers such as the NHS and other similar customers, but this will be consistant across all CUPRA Retailers.

No, the Agency model means that CUPRA UK will provide consistent national pricing through all CUPRA Retailers; your Retailer will not be able to negotiate price with you. From time to time CUPRA UK may provide national offers. These would be consistently available across all CUPRA Retailers.
