CUPRA XE teams up with Sébastien Loeb and Klara Andersson

• ABT CUPRA XE heads back to Italy for the penultimate and double header X Prix of the Extreme E Championship in Sardinia on 16-17 September.
• Returning to the driver roster is rallying champion Sébastien Loeb, who joins rising star Klara Andersson behind the wheel.

ABT CUPRA XE is reuniting with renowned record World Rally Champion driver Sébastien Loeb for the penultimate X Prix in the Extreme E Championship in Sardinia on 16-17 September. Loeb’s phenomenal skills will help the team battle it out on a newly designed racetrack and fight for victory during rounds 7 and 8 of the season.

“I am super excited to return to Sardinia with Seb at my side. We provided some really strong performances last time, but punctures and some bad luck with the grid positions stood between us and the podium. We are hungry to come back with some unfinished business and will give it our all to make the best out of it. I like the race in Sardinia as it is fun to drive but also very unforgiving. The event in July showed that the surface suits both Seb and me pretty well,” said Klara Andersson.

Italy is a permanent fixture in the Extreme E calendar, having hosted races in all three seasons since the championship’s inaugural year in 2021. Its already hosted rounds 5 and 6 of the Island X Prix this season proving beyond doubt Sardinia is a location that delivers drama, and the next rounds are sure to bring excitement on a newly designed racetrack specifically for the next event.

Rounds 7 and 8 will be based at Capo Teulada in Sulcis-Iglesiente, at the very southern tip of Sardinia, hosted in collaboration with Automobile Club d’Italia, Regione Sardegna, and the Italian Army on the 16-17 September.
