Martorell, 16-04-2026 – CUPRA continues to affirm its position as one of the most design-driven brands in the automotive industry. Just a few days after its global reveal, the CUPRA Raval has been awarded the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious design recognitions. The brand celebrates a double success, as the CUPRA Tindaya Showcar also receives a Red Dot Award for its outstanding design.

In a highly competitive field with entries from leading companies and design studios worldwide, both vehicles impressed the international Red Dot Jury with their bold design language, emotional character and outstanding quality.

The CUPRA Raval: electric, rebellious and unmistakably CUPRA

The CUPRA Raval represents the brand’s vision of an electric urban car that is emotional, desirable and radical. Designed, developed and produced in Barcelona, the Raval channels CUPRA’s unconventional spirit into compact proportions, combining athletic surfaces, strong character lines and expressive lighting signatures.

Its exterior design is defined by a confident stance and sculpted forms that communicate performance and intention, while remaining perfectly tailored to the urban environment. Inside, the CUPRA Raval continues the brand’s human-centric approach, with a driver-focused layout, sustainable materials and a strong emphasis on tactile quality and digital integration.

Winning the Red Dot Award just after its world presentation underlines how the CUPRA Raval already stands as a new benchmark for design in the electric urban segment.

The CUPRA Raval was unveiled through a distinctive global debut that reflected its urban and cultural DNA.

Its decentralised world premiere connected the model directly with the CUPRA Tribe across key European cities, reinforcing the Raval’s positioning as an electric car born from the streets and shaped by contemporary culture. This unconventional introduction further underlined the model’s expressive design character and its role as a new design reference in the electric urban segment.

CUPRA Tindaya: design as a manifesto

Alongside the Raval, the CUPRA Tindaya Showcar also receives a Red Dot Award for Product Design 2026. Conceived as a pure expression of CUPRA’s future design philosophy, Tindaya explores how sculpture, emotion and performance can coexist in a dramatic, highly reduced form.

With its powerful proportions, fluid surfaces and architectural presence, CUPRA Tindaya acts as a design manifesto, pushing the boundaries of creativity and expressing the brand’s ambition to challenge conventions far beyond the automotive world.

The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the most renowned international design competitions, honouring excellence in innovation, aesthetics and functionality. Award-winning products are presented in the Red Dot Design Yearbook, exhibited internationally and featured on the official Red Dot platforms, giving global visibility to outstanding design achievements.

This double recognition reinforces CUPRA’s growing reputation for design leadership and consistency, following previous Red Dot successes for models and concepts across the brand’s portfolio.

As CUPRA continues to expand its range and shape the future of electric mobility, the Red Dot Awards for the CUPRA Raval and CUPRA Tindaya confirm one thing: design remains at the core of everything CUPRA creates.
