One heart, three experiences
During the World Premiere of the CUPRA Tindaya at the 2025 IAA in Munich, a new concept was presented by the brand as a vision of what's to come: No drivers, no CUPRA. And it's in its interior configuration where this is most clearly reflected, with a design focused entirely on the driver and with new elements taking centre stage.
At its core is a glass prism that orchestrates all the emotions, setting the beat as if it were its heart: “The jewel, a sensory, symbolic interface that not only activates the vehicle; by intercating with it, the interior is transformed into an immersive space that amplifies emotions to the maximum", explains Rubén Rodríguez, Head of UX/UI Design at CUPRA.
Light, sound and digital visuals projected into the cabin, on the central screen and the CUPRA Monitor+, a new screen concept that extends sideways into the front passenger area, become key elements in discovering new driving experiences that enhance the user’s emotions. “The most important information is displayed on the high-definition screens, exactly where and when it's needed," says Rodríguez. This has been developed using the latest design techniques that allow light to pass through fabrics and pulse to the rhythm of the car’s speed. And also, transparent elements such as The Jewel, which lights up when you interact with it to select the driving experience you want to enjoy.
“These experiences don't increase in intensity but are completely different. Each one provides different sensations behind the wheel, because it's the driver who inspires us. That's why all the design teams focused their attention on the CUPRA Tindaya: No drivers, no CUPRA", says the designer.
EMOTION WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS
The ‘Immersive Experience’ has the most minimalist layout. Rubén Rodríguez defines it as “visceral”. The only key piece of information is the vehicle’s speed, displayed on the central screen directly in front of the driver. The interior lighting and copper-coloured graphics, the brand’s signature colour, respond to the rhythm of the vehicle through a seamless phygital integration.
“It’s ideal when you want to enjoy driving without any distractions; pure driving pleasure.”
ELECTRIFYING PERFORMANCE
In the ‘Rider Experience’, CUPRA’s sporty DNA takes the lead. Built for thrill-seekers and adrenaline lovers, this is where the CUPRA Monitor+ comes into play, located above the central screen and displaying more technical information. “I’d define this experience in two words: sportiness and performance. The colours are very powerful, featuring blues and greens, and the central screen displays graphics representing recovery levels, power output and G-forces” explains Rodríguez. In addition, with this experience you can tap the Boost button, which is located on the steering wheel and gives you extra power when you need it.
SHARED EMOTION
And when you want to share the excitement, the ‘Tribe Experience’ is the one. Once selected, the CUPRA Monitor+ extends sideways to the front passenger area and displays connected content, enabling a wide 3D view of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for assisted and autonomous driving. “What’s more, you can share emotions through the CUPRA Radar, which suggests nearby experiences, provides enjoyable driving itineraries and even connects you with other members of the CUPRA Tribe” concludes the designer.
