CUPRA Raval: Live in Manchester
Manchester, Friday 10th April 2026: Global electronic duo Chase & Status and British rap star Lancey Foux took over the streets of Manchester on Thursday 9th April, headlining the world premiere of the CUPRA RAVAL in a city-scale live event that placed music, culture and performance at the centre of one of the most ambitious automotive launches ever staged.
Rejecting traditional unveiling formats entirely, CUPRA transformed Manchester into a live performance arena, with the RAVAL embedded directly into the night’s headline moments. The car was not revealed in a showroom, but experienced through culture, sound and movement in real time.
At Projekts Skatepark, Lancey Foux opened the night with a high-impact live set, performing alongside the RAVAL in a defining moment where the vehicle became part of the performance itself.
The energy escalated as Chase & Status took over, delivering a headline set that transformed the venue into an open-air performance space. The duo performed their latest single “Homework” featuring Lancey Foux live, marking a standout moment of the world premiere and reinforcing the cultural impact of the launch.
Arriving in Manchester at full momentum, Chase & Status are in the midst of a relentless 2026 run, following recent releases including “Doin It More” featuring Blade Brown and “Through The Pain” with Pozer. With over 2 billion global streams, a BRIT Award for British Producer of the Year, and a catalogue spanning more than two decades, the duo continue to define the sound of modern UK electronic music. From chart-dominating releases such as “Baddadan” to their first UK Number One single “Backbone” featuring Stormzy, their influence cuts across generations, scenes and cultures.
Their recent series of surprise, phone-free rave takeovers across London, Amsterdam and Barcelona has further cemented their connection to underground club culture, bringing audiences back to the raw intensity of the dancefloor. That same energy carried into Manchester, shaping the CUPRA RAVAL world premiere into a fully immersive live experience.
The Manchester event formed part of CUPRA’s “Follow the CUPRA” experience, a simultaneous activation across 12 European cities including Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Berlin and Milan, connecting the brand with local music and cultural scenes through live performance.
Following the public takeover, the night continued at CUPRA City Garage Manchester, where Chase & Status returned alongside underground legend Skream for a late-night afterparty, extending the launch into the brand’s UK cultural hub.
A high-profile guest list spanning music, television, fashion and digital culture attended, including Top Boy’s Kadeem Ramsay and YouTube creator Syndicate (Tom Cassell), alongside leading media and industry figures.
At the centre of every moment was the CUPRA RAVAL, marking the first time UK audiences experienced the brand’s new fully electric urban performance car.
The world premiere signals a shift in how automotive brands engage with audiences. Rather than presenting the product, CUPRA embedded the RAVAL within culture, reinforcing its position at the intersection of performance, design and creativity.
Raw energy. Refined power. One night. One global first. The city is the stage.
