CUPRA x Padel
CUPRA IS PADEL.
PADEL IS CUPRA.
In 2019, CUPRA entered the padel court by supporting projects and partners with the shared goal of pushing the status quo. Since then, CUPRA has been deepening its connection with Europe's fastest growing sport, establishing itself as a key player shaping the future of padel.
By selecting seven of the world’s top padel players as CUPRA brand ambassadors, we continue to inspire the world from Barcelona in new ways. Our CUPRA Padel Tribe.
International collaborations
The ongoing collaboration with padel is highlighted in many ways: by expanding the CUPRA Padel Tribe, by extending the sponsorship with the International Padel Federation and by fostering a new partnership with Premier Padel.
CUPRA UK x
Pro Am Padel Tour
In May 2024, CUPRA UK announced an official partnership with Pro Am Padel Tour, to help drive the evolution of padel in the UK. The tour pairs top British padel professionals with high-profile enthusiasts from the world of sport, business, and entertainment across a series of four UK-based padel tournaments.
The 2025 UK Pro Am Padel Tour introduced a new team format featuring celebrity captains, including comedian Jason Manford, and ex-England rugby player Joe Marler, who each led a group of six celebrities, six professional Padel players, and two 'Next Generation' rising talents in the UK Padel scene.
This year’s tour has seen four exciting events at padel hotspots across the UK; starting at Beckton in East London, then Leeds, and Stockport, before returning to London for the final in Canary Wharf. The Grand Finale took place on 14th October at Padium Padel, where the teams led by Joleon Lescott, Dion Dublin, and Jason Manford played to win, and to donate the £11,500 Captain’s Fund to their chosen charity.
In an electrifying final tournament that gathered the biggest Pro Am Padel Tour turnout of the year, Team Lescott took the win, finishing more than 20 points in the lead, and securing the Captain’s Fund for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Charity Burns Unit.
“CUPRA and padel share values and aspirations that are represented in their competitive and challenging spirit, and both bring people together through passion, innovation, performance and emotions”
Unveilling Padel
Padel combines distinct elements of uniqueness, sophistication and performance—CUPRA’s core values. These elements have been woven into the game’s very DNA ever since its unconventional beginnings. It all started in 1969 when a tennis player decided he’d had enough of his ball landing in his neighbour’s backyard. So, he built a wall, and padel was born. The young racket sport is a hybrid of tennis, squash and the fronton court. But unlike its predecessors, padel is played entirely within four walls which players use to their strategic advantage. The result is a dynamic sport that combines the passion and precision of handcrafted equipment with the determination and skill of athletes. Just like CUPRA, the innovative sport dares to redefine the rules of the game and sportiness itself.
Today, padel is the fastest-growing sport in Europe. We will embark together on this journey, propelling our worldwide challenger spirit ignited by thrills and emotions, to grow our tribe and expand the sport across the continent and beyond. And we will not stop pushing the limit of what’s possible, inspiring one another, until we smash it.
