VWG Charge Anytime 2,000 Free Miles Offer Terms (Company Car Offer)

These Terms will apply to you if you have an eligible Company Car where the vehicle is provided and funded via your company or you participate in a salary sacrifice scheme (Company Car Offer). They do not apply to our free miles offer for Retail, Contract Hire or Motability customers (Retail Offer). View terms relating to our Retail Offer.

These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) relate to the VWG Charge Anytime 2,000 Free Miles Offer Terms (the “Company Car Offer”) and are supplemental to OVO’s Core Terms which cover the supply of energy to you, and the Charge Anytime terms which cover our Charge Anytime product. Together these terms along with any other terms which may form part of your plan with us form your agreement with us.

In these Terms:

“Company Car” means a car or vehicle that is provided and funded via your company or you participate in a salary sacrifice scheme”.

“Cooling Off Period” means the period which ends 14 days from the day after the date that your contract is agreed during which you can change your mind and cancel your contract;

“OVO”, “we” “us” is OVO Energy Limited, incorporated in England and Wales under company number 06890795 and whose registered office is at OVO Energy, 1 Rivergate, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6ED, the Promoter of this Company Car Offer;

“VWG” is Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 514809 trading as Volkswagen Passenger Cars UK, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK, SEAT UK, CUPRA UK, Škoda UK and Audi UK, whose registered address is at Yeomans Drive, Blakelands, Milton Keynes, MK14 5AN; and 

“You” is the person who has signed up to the Company Car Offer.

1. About the VWG Charge Anytime 2,000 Free Miles Company Car Offer (the “Company Car Offer”)

1.1 The Company Car Offer is available to eligible new and existing OVO customers who have a brand new fully-electric Company Car from any of the brands listed at section 2 below (“Eligible EV”) ordered from the 1st January 2025 (the Offer Period). To be eligible for the Offer you must also add Charge Anytime to your account for use with that vehicle. Up to 2,000 free miles of electric driving is then paid as a credit to your energy account within 60 days of you signing up for the Company Car Offer and adding Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 2,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. See credit calculations in 3.4 below.

1.2 Anniversary free miles: If you remain signed up to Charge Anytime, then on the anniversary date of your sign-up to Charge Anytime, for a maximum of 3 years, we will credit your OVO account with up to 1,000 free miles of electric driving. The credit will be applied to your account within 30 days of each anniversary of the date you signed up to Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 1,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors. See credit calculation assumptions in 3.4 below.

2. Eligibility

2.1 You will only be eligible for this Company Car Offer if:

• you are the driver of a new Eligible EV from one of the following brands:
  Volkswagen Passenger Cars UK
  Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK
  CUPRA UK
  Škoda UK
  Audi UK
• the vehicle is a Company Car ordered from the 1st January 2025. Please note: order date corresponds to the day in which the initial order was placed for your vehicle, not the day in which you completed the purchase or received the vehicle.
• the vehicle is a Company Car provided and funded via your company or through a participating salary sacrifice scheme. View terms relating to our Retail Offer for Retail, Contract Hire or Motability customers.
• you are either an existing OVO customer or you sign up to OVO before claiming the Company Car Offer and remain on supply with OVO after your Cooling Off Period;
• you activate Charge Anytime subject to you meeting the eligibility criteria set out in the Charge Anytime terms (you will need a compatible EV or charger, view a list of compatible chargers and EVs; compatible smartphone is required);
• your electricity is supplied for domestic use only. This Retail Offer is not available where your energy supply is used for business purposes;
• the property where you will charge your EV is located in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland);
• you continue to comply with these Terms, the Core Terms and the Charge Anytime Terms;
• you charge your EV at home and in accordance with the fair usage policy (see more below).

2.2 If you do not meet the eligibility criteria in paragraph 2.1 above, you will not be eligible for the Company Car Offer, but your energy supply contract will be unaffected. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract should you wish to do so. Please note that termination fees may apply.

2.3 You may only redeem this Company Car Offer once per Eligible EV. If you cancel Charge Anytime and sign up again you will no longer be eligible for this Company Car Offer.

3. How to redeem the Company Car Offer and your free miles credit

Claiming your free miles

3.1 To take advantage of this Company Car Offer you must enter the vehicle order number given by VWG when the vehicle was ordered (your “Order Number”) when signing up to Charge Anytime. If your Order Number corresponds to an eligible vehicle, we will apply your credit within 60 days of you adding Charge Anytime. Please note, you will be able to use Charge Anytime immediately after signing up, even if we have not yet validated and activated the Company Car Offer yet. If you forget to add your Order Number when you add Charge Anytime, you will have to contact us by emailing chargeanytime@ovo.com in order for your credit to be applied.

3.2 If you are adding a second vehicle to your existing Charge Anytime account, and it is an Eligible EV for this Company Car Offer, you will need to email chargeanytime@ovo.com with your Order Number to claim your free miles.

Free miles credit

3.3 For the part of the Company Car Offer providing up to 2,000 free miles, you will receive a one-off credit of £42.42 to your OVO account. £42.42 equates to 606 kWhs at our current Charge Anytime rate of 7p per kWh, which is up to approximately 2,000 free miles of electric driving at a vehicle efficiency of 3.3 miles per kWh. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 2,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

3.4 For the part of the Company Car Offer providing anniversary free miles, you will receive a one off credit of £21.21 within 30 days of each anniversary of the date you signed up to Charge Anytime. The credit will be paid as a sum in pounds sterling added to your account and may equate to less than 1,000 miles driving in real life depending on the efficiency of your selected vehicle, the configuration, driving style and other variable factors.

3.5 The mileage calculations are based on an average efficiency, weighted in line with brand Electric Vehicle volumes, of 3.3 miles per kWh across the Volkswagen Group model range (for all brands). Since this is an average, the efficiency of individual models may be less, which would mean you receive fewer than the maximum stated free miles. 

3.6 The efficiency figure is also based on standardised test data after the battery had been fully charged (to 100%) and may not reflect real world driving. Actual efficiency differs depending on multiple variables, including your selected vehicle and configuration, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles, route conditions, speed, vehicle age, battery age and temperature and vehicle load. 

3.7 The actual number of free miles you receive may be less than the maximum stated miles and will depend on the actual efficiency of your selected vehicle in the real world. 

3.8 The Company Car Offer is for an estimated number of free miles calculated on the basis of the costs to the customer when they ‘smart charge’ using Charge Anytime.

4. Fair usage policy

You agree to comply at all times with the Charge Anytime Terms and agree that you will principally charge your EV at the address registered on your OVO Energy account. If OVO reasonably suspects you're not acting in accordance with this policy, we reserve the right to remove the Company Car Offer and Charge Anytime, having attempted to contact you first.

5. Leaving OVO or cancelling Charge Anytime

5.1 If you want to switch to a different supplier or cancel Charge Anytime, you will no longer be eligible to claim the Company Car Offer. If you switch supplier, you may need to pay any exit fees associated with your plan. See our Core Terms for your rights to cancel your energy supply contract.

6. Where we can end or suspend this Company Car Offer

6.1 We reserve the right to remove or temporarily suspend the Company Car Offer if, in our reasonable opinion, we suspect any breach of these rules, the Charge Anytime terms or our Core Terms. 

6.2 If we deem in our discretion that a participant is ineligible for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel or recover any credit already awarded.

6.3 We reserve the right to amend the Company Car Offer or withdraw the Company Car Offer to new participants at any time.

6.4 In the event that for reasons beyond our reasonable control we are unable to award the offer, or we deem it appropriate to do so (in its reasonable discretion), we reserve the right to award an alternative of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at our sole discretion, the cash value of the offer.

7. Changes to these Terms and this Offer

7.1 We reserve the right to amend the Company Car Offer and these Terms on reasonable notice. Any amendments will be published on OVO's website or if any changes are made which are detrimental to you we will give you reasonable notice.

8. General

The Company Car Offer is subject to availability and cannot be claimed retrospectively against purchases of Eligible EVs made prior to the Offer Period.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are subject to the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England unless you’re a resident of Scotland, in which case you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
