Pro Am Padel Tour: Beckton
The first of four major tournaments in the 2025 UK Pro Am Padel Tour was held in Beckton, where teams consisting of two celebrity captains each leading a team of six celebrities, six professionals, and two Next Gen players, played it out to qualify for the Grand Finale in Canary Wharf.
This year’s event included celebrities such as team captains Joe Marler and Jason Manford.
Each Pro Am Padel Tournament event expands across two days, day one starting with a Community Day full of activities that engage with local under-served groups, giving opportunities to play padel that they may never have experienced otherwise. Beckton’s Community Day gave 200 children and adults the opportunity to play padel, supported throughout the day by the teams’ professional players and celebrities.
The second day of each Tournament features matches between teams, and this tournament centred around the competition between Teams Marler and Manford, where we saw celebrities like Ugo Monye and Gabriel Agbonlahor play alongside Padel pros Ellie Tait and Rafa Vega, with Team Manford ultimately taking the win.

Pro Am Padel Tour: Leeds
The second tournament in the 2025 series took place in Leeds, and saw an exciting competition between Team Dublin, led by former footballer and TV presenter Dion Dublin, and Team Wingrove, captained by football freestyler Billy Wingrove.
Former world No. 4 tennis player Johanna Konta, and British racing driver Alex Lynn, earned themselves the title of MVPs in this leg of the tournament for the energy they brought to the court.
Despite the show of strength from these players in Team Wingrove, after a day of matches, Team Dublin emerged victorious, earning themselves a place in the October Grand Finale.

Pro Am Padel Tour: Stockport
Taking place at Pure Padel in Stockport, the penultimate tournament featured a series of tight matches, where former Lionesses Captain, Steph Houghton, led her team against Team Lescott, headed by ex-footballer Joleon Lescott.
Some key names in Padel represented the two teams, with top LTA padel players Alfonso Patacho and Laura Jackson, and GB players Tia Norton and Louie Harris, promising an exciting and action-packed tournament.
After a dramatic set of matches, Team Lescott came out on top, winning the last remaining spot in the final tournament, where they came face-to-face with the two other teams playing for the title.
